Grecia will be the site of 230-hectare technology park
April 30th, 2013 (InsideCostaRica.com) La Argentina de Grecia will be the site for a new 230-hectare technology park, aimed at attracting various types of technology and medical science companies.According to the project coordinator, Francisco Bogantes, the “Green Valley Business and Technology Park” will be built on 230 hectares of mostly unused farmland, and will be promoted by the municipality.
Bogantes said the municipality would work closely with the Costa Rican Coalition for Development Initiatives (Cinde), Ministry of Foreign Trade (Comex) and the Association of Free Zones (Azofras) to attract businesses to the new park. The park is projected to create about 360 jobs per hectare.
The plan was unveiled as part of the canton’s 175th anniversary, which it celebrated last week.
